letting yourself go for a few days...
56 Answers
if you dont have to leave the house or see anyone for a few days and intend not to...do you let yourself go for a few days?, ie, not washing, letting your hair go greasy, not shaving, wearing your pjs all day, no makeup, no deoderant... just letting your body just 'do its own thing'
if so do you think its good for your body to do this occasionally?
to let it do what 'it wants', away from products, detergents, hot water stripping oils, coating your skin in makeup, spraying on aerosols etc etc
just curious
thanks

I must admit to not being a great fan of makeup though (except mascara - but I don't bother with it at home or in the garden) My makeup consists of a good concealer, mascara, lippy and some translucent powder. The end!!

mickey - clearly that mental boost you get is more about you than a general thing - as most people here seem to be perfectly happy to have veggie days
and no man made product is as good as nature...you re missing the point...nature knows best and we spend a long time stripping it away....i think allowing the bodies own abilities to look after itself unaided once in a while is a good think....

Joko The natural boost I talk about is the physical one from the stimulation of water and movement on our skins which aid circulation as well as the mental boost and confidence knowing you feel fresh and alive.
There's a big difference between not washing to become one with nature and allowing your bodies natural oils and bacteria to cover our bodies and just being lazy. to let our bodies become covered in dandruff, smelly oils and dead skin ect is not a good choice in my opinion, but its a personal choice for each individual to make.
Can I ask what are the benefits of doing so especially if the ones doing this practice go back to stripping their natural secretions once again with chemicals?
