caesarean incision hurting

hello all,
I had an emergency caesarean on 9th November - the incision became infected whilst i was in hospital and i had to take a course of antibiotics. The incision on my right side was also taking longer to heal and weeping, it's still a bit oozy but no sign of infection according to nurses (district nurses are coming out every other day to dress it). The thing is it is causing me more pain this week, it feels very tender and uncomfortable and I have noticed a very slight odour . . . I don't know if this is normal or anything to worry about. I'm not taking as strong pain killers this week because I ran out so could this be why I'm feeling it more?
Does anyone know how long (ish) caesarean wounds tend to heal, when I will start to feel a bit better, and whether I should be worried about increased discomfort?

If there is still oozing, then the nurses are wrong......there is still infection present.
This with a slight odour and pain almost certainly clinches the presence of an infection and also possibly a retained stitch.

You need.....swab taken of the oozing are and another course of antibiotics.

No big deal at the moment, but mention this to the District Nurse or GP in the morning.

I've had 3 C/Sections. Sqad is right you still have the infection genstm. As for the pain from the op it takes a while to settle,bear in mind you've had a major op. Good luck.
