Beso those numbers don't add up, if about 1/2 of all men are larger than average is impossible as some of those would have to be the average so the average is bigger, which probably makes even less sense than your post.

Actually, Beso is quite right. The graph of Normal Distribution is a bell-shaped curve
( called a Gaussian curve), with some 50% above the median 50th. percentile, ie. greater than average, and 50% below. This is true for ANYTHING in an unselected group, and the larger the group the more evident this becomes.

Beso is also correct re. testosterone levels and ring-finger size, which is, incidentally an inter-uterine phenomenon.

And to add molly it's mathematically possible for no-one in the sample to be the average - in anything
eg 5 people are of ages 12,22,39,65 & 66. Average age is 204/5 = 40.8 which none of them are.

However, my feet are exactly the same length as the distance from wrist to elbow!
