My nails, especially the toes, are very tough, but I can't find any nail clippers with a large enough gap between the erm pincers...if you know what I mean...so can anyone recommend any nail clippers that do have a large gap? Ta Muchly.

soak your feet in warm salt water for 10mins & use these.

why salt water? is there a particular reason?
I use a pair of clippers that were designed for dog's claws.
The reason for salt water is it kills bacteria and softens the nails, and if you have paddled in the sea for a while your feet feel refreshed.
I would have thought salt water would dry your skin. You are better moisturising your feet after cutting your nails.
Use your teeth
LOL barron, would that I were agile enough to do that!

Can you use nail scissors instead?, you can get big chunky ones for toenails.
I use clippers for electronics assembly work. You can get various types from Maplin
Here are a few examples

i don't think salt water is necessary, any water will soften nails, i don't put salt in the bath or shower.
I thought woodelfs had hooves? Could be wrong tho
Most GP's have a chiropody service provided by the NHS, see your GP explain the difficulty and ask for a referal..You will then be seen at regular intervals at no cost to you.Best of.
I always do my toenails after my shower...the nails are much softer then.

Blimey Scotman, you'll be recommending heavy plant hire next! Yes Pink, I do have hooves, but I need to cut my nails before I can put the hooves on! I wouldn't trust myself to use nail scissors Boxie...smile...and I intend to do them after a shower too, Pasta. I once had a good pair...nail clippers I mean....made by Scholl, but I've never been able to find 'em, but now I have found a pair on Amazon, so I've ordered them and will see how they work. But Many Thanks to You All!
