I suppose its easy to discuss drug taking on this site as on the whole, we are strangers and wont judge. Are you lot this open with friends and family?
I dabbled as a teen/early 20's but my body must have had a low tolerance for drugs as I was always suffering the next day and paranoia creeped in at times. So been there got the t-shirt, never again. I even booted the ciggies last year and I probably only drink twice a month - christ I am boring!

I'm 31 and barely done anything, weed a couple of times, had a pill shoved in my gob but that didn't do anything and never even smoked a ciggy! I think being the other side of the bar and seeing scally pillheads gurning like a slow-mo in a rocky film put me off.
I get my kicks from getting a kicking!

I can't stand the recovery period these days. It may seem like fun when you take the stuff, but when it lays you low for 2-3 days afterwards you soon realise it is time to stop taking it!
I always have the fear, since my health deteriorated, that I would have to 'fess up' to the doctors that I have dabbled if I have to attend A&E for breathing problems...... and that would be humiliating!

In my day I followed the herd and regularly smoked 'dope' as we called it then (resin) but I once had too much in a cake and had a horrendous paranoic episode which also kicked in again the next day whan I ate. Never touched it again. I've often wondered if that triggered anxiety problems I had a year or so later and on that basis alone I don't think it should be legalised - sorry man :-)
Oh nicotine and alcohol now

I couldn't function without coffee in the morning and I do like alcohol. Chocolate too.
I was a long distance runner in my youth and got off on the endorphins. These days I get them from singing.
I used to smoke dope but don't any more. It is highly overrated really.
Did LSD once many, many years ago. It was nice.
Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) was also interesting but didn't really appeal that much.
Diviner's Sage (Salvia Divinorum) I did once. It is very interesting and by far the most powerful thing I have taken. The main rush is short but I think its influence over me lasted indefinitely.
However nothing comes close in overall psychoactive experience to Ayahuasca, which I did once in a remote community in the upper reaches of the Napo river in Ecuador. It was prepared for me by a Quechua Shaman. It was a beautiful experience, powerfully spiritual and very deeply introspective.
Unlike other drugs which seem profound at the time but don't hold up in the light of the day after, the insights given to me by Ayahuasca took many years to fully comprehend.
