Why do old women 40+ go on holidays and have relationships with Turkish waiter, (it always seems to be a waiter, or the hotel porter) a men who is much younger. the relationship always seems to go badly wrong.
Then they freak out when they rip them off, can they not see the signs?

I imagine that they enjoy the sex, are flattered by the attention of someone young and attractive and might genuinely fall for them, and things don't always go badly wrong- my ex mother in law is married to a Macedonian guy (who is decades her junior), and has been for years now and they are very stable, very happy and not at all the scenario you painted.
I went on holiday to Benalmadena the week I was 18 and I had a relationship with the gorgeous little Spanish concierge, one of the girls I went with had a fling with a waiter in a club in Torremolinos the same week, Whether I was 18 or 40, (I wish) I would consider it my own choice, encountering thieves and con men is usually outside the ordinary woman's experience, you are blaming their mis fortune on themselves and ignoring the real culprit,
I know a lady who met, and after meeting on about 6 holidays to Gambia, she married him, he was about 10 years younger than her, they settled in the UK, he got a job, all seemed fine except that he would not sleep with her once they got to the UK!....I thought it very odd!...........turned out that he way gay, and left her after a year for his boyfriend!.......whom he also met in Gambia!........
It's not just holidays, but facebook too. My OH has friends who chase egyptians. We all know they are looking for a way into the country, but these women just can't see that. Then they act like lovesick teenagers when things go wrong (for which read the guy at the other end realises he's flogging a dead horse and moves on)
I think you should look also at very old (rich) men who marry very young women. Don't they realise they are not young and handsome and the only lure is their money? Perhaps they do realise it and are willing to accept the situation and perhaps the older women are the same - willing to accept so that they can experience a brief return to their youth.
I think she's quite rude and narrow- you can't generalise about great swathes of people like that- I went out with a older woman when I was in my 30's and I also went out with someone in their late teens, why is age such a huge deal- does life have to be so shallow, can't people just be appreciated for who they are and not labelled as if they have a sell by date?
