I met a really nice young man on Thursday night. He's a chef on a private boat. He's lovely. The boat leaves on Monday :(

Yes the text has gone. Looks like the sailor boy is not really that interested, he's not replied. Maybe I killed it with the sentence "I doubt you would..." ah well... better the devil you know than the devil you don't. There is time yet, he did say he'd be in touch. Hopefully not just to say goodbye. x
I would not be particularly enthusiastic to go anywhere with someone who sent me a text like that. The first bit is a bit 'well come if you want but it's no skin off my nose if you don't' and the second part sounds like you're digging for compliments re spending time with you. You basically come across as not massively interested either way and I would respond in a similar tone.
Did you only send the text today? If so, I'd give it longer. I never reply to texts straight away, because I rarely have my phone glued to my side :-)
I do think the "I doubt you would" line was a bit much. I read it like you were almost seeking reassurance. That's the problem with texts though, as the way you mean them may be completely different to how the other person reads it.... does that make sense? :)
If he hasn't replied by tomorrow mid-afternoon, then give him a call. You haven't got anything to lose. x
