Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

19d shown cleared score sheets: d-e-t-d, but letters including an s or an n are jumbled

I can't really understand what the principle is in moving the n and the s in the down clues - is it random? any hints gratefully received

The words are still in the same letter order with the exception of the s and n in each of the down answers.

You can work out the place for the s and n letters simply by using the crossers to guide you,

For instance Champagne the crossers are C? A?P?A?E

Therefore the first 5 letters have to be Champ but the A is lower, therefore the N has to go between the P and the A

Technically if N is on the top and S is in the below answer, they repel and both move away from each other. If S is on the top and N in the below answer, they attract each other.

In practice move the Ns Northwards and the Ss southwards, no need to understand magnets
