Just a quickie, I'm moving from a full fibre area to the old copper/fibre situation. Too stressed to think about it in detail, been hit with a section 21. Providers in the area are BT and Virgin. I'm currently with Virgin and my contract is about up at this address anyway. Any words of wisdom about saving a few quid/getting the best value type of broadband? No telly package required. Basically no point in paying them for speeds I probably won't get. Have tried to find achievable speeds/distance from cabinet but seems fiendishly complex (or maybe I'm frazzled) (yup) to work out. Looking for general words of wisdom really. Is it worth getting the so-called social tarrif with Virgin or is it rubbish? Heavy sigh, any advice welcome.

Is there a strong 4G/5G signal in the house? The quickest and easiest way to get online is with a mobile router and SIM card. Worth thinking about

Virgin social tariff is fine if you qualify for it, can get Virgin at the new property and don't have half a dozen kids playing Call of Duty 24/7

If only we still had copper wires!

TechFlow on YouTube tested BT and Virgin and found them comparable. He also uses 5G for low cost but occasionally has to reboot.
