I waited till he said it first, we'd been together nearly three months and I knew because every time we were being all cheesey I wanted to tell him but I decided I had to wait cos he'd told me he didnt believe in love after this previous relationship!---he was only 16 at the time as well, think he was just saying it to be all non-commital!

i told my hubby a week after we meet and a few days later he told me,i just knew he was the one everytime i saw him i had butterflys and i still do now after 19yrs of marrige

I told my partener a week after we met. I was calling him from a wedding I was at, a little tipsy and it just came out, accidentally, as I was saying goodbye! I knew I meant it, and we've been together over 5 years now, still totally head over heels with each other

I knew I was in love for sure within a month of seeing my guy, my heart would race and I'd go all 'girlie' with just the thought of seeing him. I've been with him for 16 years now and still in love - he's handsome to me as the first day we met. My heart still does a little flutter 'cos now i know he's mine .... we don't go a day without saying it to each other somewhere along the line, be it to end a phone call or just to cuddle up together at night, its the last thing we say to each other before sleeptime. There is no 'rule' or lessons to learnt to being in love... you will know when it happens to you and when that time is right. Take the opportunity when you feel it is right for you !

Oh them were the days. 9 years on, the tingly feeling still comes back (occasionally). But I know I love him because I cudnt bare life without him. But you know and understand the phrase 'you can live with em and you cant live without em'!!!

He told me after about 3 weeks of spending time together and not really going any further than friends - It took me a while to trust myself and him to think about it and feel what I was feeling - I told him maybe a couple of weeks later. Then we took things further and we are still together after 6 years - And you just know, as soon as you realise life wouldn't be the same without them then you just know its the real deal. I am loving CIDERMONKEY's answer - wish and hope I still feel like that after that many years!
