Dating again
9 Answers
Hi,
After 4 years of being a singleton after my marriage broke down, I met a lovely guy and we went out on our first date on Saturday night. We parted company with a hug and an arrangement to go out again this Thursday evening.
I feel this is such a daft question at my age, but since I hve not been 'dating' for many years, I'm not sure of the protocol anymore. If he doesn't make a move to kiss me, is it OK for me to make a move to kiss him?? Is this seen as too forward??
Advice welcome :o)

If he doesn't kiss you on the next date then go for it....kiss him. And remember to enjoy this bit while it lasts....
Good Luck..

Ah, the eternal question, to Kiss or not to Kiss.
as Ummmm said, the guy is going to be in the same position as you. As a result both of you are nervous and the thought of the impending goodnight kiss situation can often ruin your evening.
If the first date has gone well and it is apparent that you are going to see each other again then I think a small kiss is acceptable. Save the good stuff for the next time. However, and I've recently discovered this, it is also perfectly fine to just hug and agree to see each other again without one or both parties running away screaming that you're not interested in them.
It shows that you had a good time with them, that you're interested in them but respect yourself enough to not give up all of the goods on the first date.
Anyone will respect you for it and look forward to the next date all the more.
Good luck

Interesting to see that everyone here has suggested waiting for the fella to make the move?
This is just through curiosity and because I'm also old fashioned and still wont let a girl pay for anything on the first date (Sad, I know) but why would you wait for the fella to make the first move?
Apologies if this is stealing your question Xiomara but I'm quite curious about this.
