hi, why doesn't happiness all happen together at the same time?

I was happy with my ex we were soulmates im sure, although things drove us apart such as distance and what we wanted from life, we parted on bad terms and now shes with her ex (she has issues about being single due to her dad dying young)

thing is i have now concentrated on other things and have finally passed my driving test and am due to buy a new car but i would have loved to have shared it with her, as this all feels wasted doing it alone.

the thing that triggered thois, is i have just seen a pic of her at my local club looking more gorgeous than ever,

she has no career or prospects but her soul is what i want in a woman !

why cant everything just go well? why is there always blips and things holding us back?

I have been single a year now and I want that to change !!!

I know exactly how you feel. I know that the person I need in my life to make me happy is my soul mate but the problem is that he doesnt realise it yet! I have loved him secretly for over a year now and he just sees me as a friend. I know that if we were together we would be happy.

Happiness is something that comes along and hits you when you are least expecting it, not when you actually want it to happen, that is my experience.

Circumstances sometimes work against us, think its called 'sod's law', you can have something going well in your life but not be happy because there is something else missing.

Maybe fate plays a part in our lives meaning that things are the way they are for a reason, but we are unaware of it at the time.
then change, stop thinking about your ex and writing about her
Everything happens for a reason, if you were meant together you would be. Move on, that person is out there waiting...
I agree with the reverandfunk.
It is time you moved on and there is someone out there for you, least of all when you expect it.
Might take a little while, but do not lose sight of what split the two of you up in the first place. Those problems would still be there if you got back together.
Think yourself lucky you are young enough to move on. I am sure it is hard but while you keep thinking what might have been, then you will be stuck where you are. I am sure there is someone out there waiting to share the rest of your life with. I thought I had met my soulmate 40yrs ago but it doesn't seem to be so although we are still together, just.
Move on and enjoy your life.

noknowledge. I wish he would as it could be the wake up call he needs, or his get up to go. One or the other.
