becoming a father

soon i will be a dad.i was asked by my girlfriend "i want a baby"i agreed as we were getting on ok and a year before she had an abortion i was her partner at the time.the last 6 months shes been very nasty to me we dont live together and dont see each other much i havent been to her place in ages.we do communicate by text mainly and she tells me this is the most dramatic thing iv ever been through etc.she refuses to meet any of my family and we have rowed over this a lot she doesnt want the child to see my side.she only speaks and sees her step dad no one else.i feel fed up over all this and now im thinking legaly over how i will be responsible for maintenance etc and does it make a difference if my surname isnt on birth certificate.
