Surname needed for divorce papers
9 Answers
My husband ran off with a Czech girl. I now want to divorce him and I want to cite her in the papers but I only know her first name and their address but not her surname. I apparantly need this to proceed. Does anyone know how I can get it? I've tried the electoral roll but only my ex is listed at their address even though she lives there too.

There are easier and cheaper ways to end a marriage than citing reasons and naming adulterers.
You can have another row if you want, I'm sure the lawyers will facilitate that, but in reality try and work out what you need and what he wants financially out of the home, settle it and go your sepatate ways.
Better the money in your pockets, than helping to put the lawyers kids through college.

I don't know why you have to cite her surname.
I divorced my husband due to unreasonable behaviour and mentioned that he was living with another woman. That is all I had to do, and he responded with the details.
The reason for the divorce doesn't matter, and adultery doesn't mean you are entitled to any more than usual. It means nothing nowadays!
Just get rid of the marriage asap :o)

Thank you everyone for your advice.
I've already sold the house and given him half of it so nothing left to do but get the divorce!
I guess I just wanted to name and shame her too but I guess I'll put it through without the name. It'll be quicker and I probably wouldn't feel any better whether she's named or not! Thanks.
