I want my long term partner to start being more adventurous in the bedroom but i dont know how to approach the subject without offending her or sounding completely weird. I wouldn't expect her to do anything she wasn't comfortable with, my fantasies just involve her dressing up and using toys etc. any suggestions??

Best bet is to make sure she knows she's loved and wanted... and that you're 100% happy with her and the way things are... But perhaps tackle the subject by asking her what she thinks about or wants. After a few glasses of wine (and particularly straight after sex - in that 'wow you blew my mind' moment!) ask her if there's anything you could do for her. This should help open up the conversation - which should bounce back to what your fantasies are etc. And perhaps buy her a few magazine subscriptions to Cosmo, Marie Claire etc for Christmas! these mags tackle loads of relationship subjects - and you could come over as a great boyfriend by reading them to find out more about her! And then discuss things you've both read... Maybe she's interested in being a bit more adventurous but is thinking you might be offended if SHE asks ;) Good luck - and don't forget there is absolutely nothing weird in wanting to expand your horizons a little - and she's got lots to gain too! (and, finally!, good on you for being such a considerate fella - she's a lucky lady!)
Thanks SRH for your help. She knows she's loved, we're getting married next year and our relationship is as strong as it was five years ago. Im happy with the way things are, i just want to experiment a bit. Ive tried approaching the subject like you suggested but i don't really get anywhere, i need a way of getting more to the point without offending her. ??
Try to get her to go to an Ann Summers shop, my wife was happy for me to go on my own, but wouldn't come in with me. When she did she had a bit of a laugh in there.
The front of the shop is usually just lingerie, the "toys" are at the back, so she wouldn't have to venture down there if she didn't want to
We have got a Fukuoku massage glove, which is a glove with five small vibrators in the fingers and thumb, this could be a good thing to start with, cost about 25.

Dressing up can be a difficult one, anything you buy for her will probably be wrong and/or the wrong size. She HAS to have input into this.
This may seem odd to suggest but when 'getting it on' smack her bare bottom lightly and if that meets no resistance a shade harder. The reason I suggest this is it will (presumably) be a shift from the usual and could be a starting point.
And as previously suggested alcohol helps too, though not in absurd quantities.

Hmmm. I've tried Ann Summers and she always heads to the lingerie section whereas i'm always interested in the more interesting stuff, usually at the back of the shop but dont know how to approach the subject without offending her or making her think i'm a weirdo!! Thats the problem.
I find spanking weird and porn does nothing for me in the slightest, i'd rather watch my partner but thanks for your suggestions.
