S.A.D (Seasonal Affective Disorder) and relationships

I have just got home from an enjoyable evening with the girls. Yet each of them confessed that they were either bored with their boyfriends, or had just traded-in solid reliable types for younger wilder men.
In the winter they were all content and 'loved-up'.
I'm wondering if the Summer weather frazzles the brains and hormones and if they are suffering a type of 'holiday syndrome' where they look for different partners in Summer to Winter.
Has anybody else noticed these behaviour changes amongst their friends (or themselves)?
