it's rather sad when you're single yet there is someone you like who doesn't even know you, who's 6 years older than you. who's your brothers friend...

Hello Sophie ~ it's not sad at all, it's a learning curve. Learn to go forward and be friends with people first and foremost. Should be easy enough if he's a friend of your brother. Get it right and by next Valentine's Day you could be good friends. One word of advice though. Don't wish your life away. Only too soon you may find yourself thinking 'Man, I wish I was younger!'.
