well ,just think about it before you do it but i would send that one message don't tell him you love him yet ,if you do not do it then you will always have it in the back of your mind ,hence you will never be able to move on with your life ,do not put yourself through that ,if he doesn't reply then forget him xx

I wouldn't tell someone I loved them if it was 'over'... Seems a fairly pointless exercise to me.

Does he realise he has issues? Is he willing to do something about them? ie counselling? I wouldn't tell him I loved him straight away. But if he were willing to sort himself out then there could be some hope for the relationship to work.
