How come it;s acceptable for my ex girlfriend to shout obscenites across a bar about my children and my ability as a father?!?!?!?
Why was I the one removed in case I reacted, instead of her?

like I say, I don't think it's the fact that you retaliated, because you didn't, but from the landlord's point of view it looked as if you might, and he'd want to stop trouble before it started. He'd remove the one who he thought was likely to cause trouble physically, not the one doing it verbally. Perhaps he should have chucked her out earlier but perhaps he simply didn't notice. Fist fights will be more of a problem for him than slanging matches. Harsh but you've just got to learn to suck it up.

like the others say, you have to suck up stuff about your kids too - *if* you want to be able to carry on having a quiet drink. The alternative is to be thrown out of places. Don't go telling yourself you have to be ready to fight for your kids' honour; they'll be much better off with a loving dad who comes home safe and sober from the pub.

they were just trying to stop any trouble, not taking sides.

the fact is if theyd told her to leave, they would have been powerless to stop you following her outside...
all they were doing is trying to prevent you getting your hands on her

you may state that you would not have hit her (despite also saying you would have..)
and tyhat you are not usually violent etc etc etc ...but they dont know that do they? to them you are just another punter who has kicked off...and they reacted in the same way they do with everyone

She should have been arrested for disturbing the peace. Unfortunately women tend to get away with this kind of revolting behaviour more than men. But if you're subjected to it, it's best always to maintain your dignity so that everyone can see clearly that she's the one in the wrong. If you react in the correct way you are less likely to be treated unfairly by everyone concerned; it's bad enough what SHE is doing. This kind of thing may happen to you again by the sounds of it. Keep sober and take care.

She tried it again last night.
I avoided being in any situations with her all night, which frustrated her, so she started sending texts saying it's no wonder my ex-wife cheated on me, i'm rubbish blah blah. I asked a mutual friend to have a word with her, and then I carried on enjoying myself. According to the friend she stormed off in a huff, then about 2 hours later came back hunting for me. I ended up hiding in the bogs so as to avoid any confrontation lol

sounds to me that she is doing everything she can to get a reaction out of you, and from a womens perspective i would say that she is obviously still hung up on you. Was she dumped by any chance?????? Next time she starts, just finish your pint and go elsewhere, that will irritate her more because your the better person and shes left looking like a t@!t for starting drama in the first place.
