Not a huge age difference, but it made the world of difference for me. We have been together nearly 9 years. I found boys at school/college/work around my age a little childish and unsure of themselves. In my eyes, older is better =)
My Mum is a couple of years older than my Dad. His parents were most displeased by this age-gap and made it very obvious, upsetting both my parents...........
So, it was a bit of a surprise, when in researching my family tree, I discovered that both my Grandmothers mother and my Grandfathers mother were older than their husbands !
My partner is currently 5 years older than me............

My partner is 18yrs younger than me and we have been together 11 years. I certainly don't have issues (cheek). If I was the male with a younger woman then 'issues' would not be suggested. Anyway I have aged well and he perhaps not so not many people realise and as someone else has said we love each other and that's that.
Hi
I am 45 and living with a woman who is 14 years older than me.....
I always have had much younger girlfriends, so at first it was a surprise to me, now 3 years on and very happy it is completely immaterial the age gap. But i suppose i see her for who she is, rather than what she looks like etc
No mother issues here, she is just a great woman and we have a lot in common, and anyone sensible enough would realise that age does not matter as long as you both want to be together for the right reasons...
