Speed of moving on

Have been pondering this a bit lately.
I split with my ex and we moved out of out shared flat two years ago this month. Despite him saying he thought he needed to be single for a while he was seeing someone before I moved out and they just got married after having a baby back in April/May time.
Seems like such a whirlwind and just wondering how many others of you have had pretty whirlwind relationships.

I guess it seems shorter to me by how fast the last couple of years have gone. It does seem longer when I actually think about it time wise.
Maybe partly because I couldn't see me at the point of having a child (planned anyway) and getting married so soon after first meeting someone.

Marry in haste. Repend at leisure. I always think it's a mistake to rush into another relationship immediately after breaking up from a previous one, especially if it leaves a lot of issues unresolved. You need a certain amount of time for reflection and self awareness, otherwise I think you run the risk of making exactly the same mistake again. Some people just don't seem to be able to cope with their own company, even for brief periods of time..
