I have recently been having problems with my girlfriend, well, ex girlfriend now. I hadnt heard from her for about 3 or 4 weeks and I thought she had just gone off me and was ignoring me. However I recently managed to get hold of her and I asked why she was ignoring me. She told me that she had recieved a text from my phone which was supposed to go to another girl, which obviously made it look like I was two timing her. I was completley stunned by this and I really didnt know what she was talking about. However around the time she got the text my phone was in the O2 shop being repaired. Anyway I have tried endlessly to get her to believe me, that I really did not send this text, but ( to be honest understandably ) she just doesnt believe me, she has told me to leave her alone and delete her number. I'm totally gutted because this has been some kind of error or something. There was nothing in my sent box when I got my phone back. Does anyone know how this could have happened? Is it someone playing a sick joke or could there be a technical explanation?
Does your receipt have the time that the shop had the phone in for service - if not get them to send your gf an e-mail to the fact that the phone was in their possession between x/x/xx and y/y/yy
Then it doesn't matter where your phone was - if it came from your number it came from the card which was in your possession and has nothing to do with the o2 shop.
I did once get a text message from my best mate, but the contact name and number on the text were my brother's details. As my brother lives in south wales and my mate lives in preston this was obviously some kind of error and I think something like this might have happened
The point I was making was that my mate once sent me a text, it was last year sometime, but when the text came through to me it was my brothers phone number at the top, which made it look like my brother had sent it
I had dodgy text messages with o2, I'd send a message to my boyfriend but when he received it it would cut off half way through and the second half would be the end of a message I'd sent him ages ago which was no longer stored on my phone.
