Afternoon!

I'm off on a big bike ride this weekend to make up for the terrible sins of:

1. Takeaway pizza
2. Pub burger
3. Beer

Anyone else repenting this weekend? It's been hard to get out in this muggy weather...

I spent the weekend flinging myself up and down wet hills in Wales. It was grand. The only issue was the beer, pub grub and huge curry we cooked when we got back. As always, onwards and downwards.
naughty naughty lol lol .Never mind we all do it but we do try and do something about it and that's the main thing. Onwards and Downwards
Oh dear, just had a peek at the scales, oh dear oh dear oh dear, 'nuf said about that!

Onwards and downwards...
I am so digusted with myself I have put a bit more than 1lb on. I am not surprised . Had a whale of a time at my daughters birthday bbq. .Not the drink as I had to drive but the food but I did draw the line at the cream cakes. Should have had one and made a right job of it. Never mind I am off to Asda today as I need things for my grandson as he is here quite a lot during the school holidays but I can assure you I will not be touching any of it .Watch this space. Onwards and Downwards for next week for a 2lbs. loss. The Devil is out and the Good Fairy is with me. End of Rant.
Hi Xstitcher you and I both on that naughty step this week.
Yes we are, misery loves company.............
Well I delighted to say I'm off the naughty step this week - I've lost 2lb. I've dragged the wii out again this week and been logging every thing on that site tigerblue suggested. I'm not sure I'm going to keep that going as it's a lot of hassle - I'll see how I go - I think it's easier to write it down on a pad. But it's nice to see the breakdown of fats, carbs and proteins.

wendilla, xstitcher and kate - hang in there you'll come through next week I have and now I've just got to keep it up - Remember Onwards and Downwards
My woman has given me her electronic scales so I no longer have to peer from a height at the cloudy dial, trying to work out exactly which pound mark the needle is really pointing to. I can now know to a precision of 1/8th of a pound it seems (but no idea how accurate).

Since it has been an age since I last noted my weight I can't be 100% sure if I gained or lost last week, but a quick jump on the older scales did suggest I was a bit lighter. So I can treat myself to another small piece of cheese this evening :-) (well it'd go dry and 'orrible' otherwise). And I now have a reading to check against next week. ;-)
A big pat on the back to you Jools. Well done and thanks for the words of encouragement....
well I am pleased to report that despite being on holiday last week and having had fish and chips out by the seaside, I have lost 3 ¾lbs, must have been all of the walking we did :)
Oh how lovely to be able to eat fish and chips and still loose weight. It must be the walking that really helped out there Jules001 but still well done. Holidays can be real pitfalls as far as the weight goes but you can't make life miserable for yourself then by saying no to everything that is good and sinful.
chocolate wafer, then small packet of crisps later in the day, but feel
ok, not too upset with myself, as doing reasonably well. Cut down on sugar as well, did try some sweeteners but they were horrible
Average sort of week stayed the same.... I can live with that...
Increasing my fruit and veg portions a bit more although I eat loads anyway and trying to cut back my tea and coffee due to the associations

i.e tea and biscuits coffee and cake
Jimjools well done and yes we will hang in there lost too much to put it all back on again.

Well done to you too Jules just be careful it don't creep back on in a week or too . I lost every week last year but struggling this year for a stone but I think I am back on track after getting a wakeup call on the scales on Wed.

Old Geezer that bit of cheese might be your downfall if you are being careful everyday treat cheese as a weekly treat.

EM 10 Thats what I used to do but believe me it will not do you much good . Have you got a lot of weight to lose .Perhaps you are the sort of person that can eat anything and get away with it . I just have to look at a cream cake and the lbs are on. Treat choc and crisps as a treat but not a daily treat.
Rowan that was my downfall biscuits I just don't buy them.

Wise words again Wendilla. Could I add that eating as many veggies as you want is fine, but watch the fruit....it's not as innocent as one would think. Keep up the good work all of you.......onwards and downwards....
