It depends on your height and weight. Usually its 29 points a day and 49 extra points over the week. If you dont want to do the classes, why dont you do it online?
Personally, I think the support of the people at the meetings is a great plus for weight loss but as vodka says they have got an online thing going. I successfully did a Tesco online diet, but unfortunately, and as usual, lapsed back to normal when I finished it. Live classes are definitely a help. I have tried Weight Watchers and Slimming World in the past and all the diets work, but you have to keep it up. Very difficult.

Really don't have time for the meetings - down it before and got nothing out of it - quite bring in fact - and am very motivated so find I can do it alone provided I calculate starting points correctly - found a website which does it for you - and then found the exact formula for calculating the points in everything - so away I go!!
Which Points system is the website calculating the points for, the new Pro points or the original. I have all the literature for the old original points system, if you are following that, let me know your height and weight, I can have a look for you, if you are doing the new system then Vodkancoke has given you the answer you need.

Its given me the new system - 27 a day plus an extra 35 for the week - so think I am on the right lines - hopefully!
No, you haven't got it right! The points you have quoted are the old system not pro points. I am a clerk at a WW meeting and have a calculator. I need your age, gender, current weight and height. It can be in either metric or imperial. You have your daily points and there are 49 weekly points.

Hi Echokilo. You will be on 29 points a day plus 49 weekly points. Because 29 is the minimum points they won't drop as you lose the weight. Recently I wasn't using the full 29 thinking that was good but failed to lose. When I put all my points in on line and used 29 - sometimes more - I lost a lb this week. So it pays to use all your daily points. Hope this helps. Good luck!! I'll keep a look out in case you need any more help. Ruthie x

Thanks Ruthie- much appreciated!
If you can not make the time for the meetings, is there any point in associating with WW at all ? IMO the commitment one felt by being part of the meetings was the main value of WW. Dieting advice you can get anywhere. Ultimately you have to ensure energy output > energy input.
