Onwards and Downwards Continues IN October

Halloween is on the way with all the trick or treating and temptation!

Why not try handing out some healthy treats like raisins, apples or homemade biscuits to the kids this year?

Here is last months thread

Well done Tigger .I have not seen these veggie pots yet but will look when I go supermarket tomorow. crisgal that sounds good may just give that a go.
I usually buy bags of stir-fry veg Crisgal and either make it with light soy sauce or Blue Dragon stir-fry sauce sachets. Handy when you don't have much time.

Thanks Wendilla, oh and check them out quick as I think the half price offer ends tomorrow. Well in Tesco it does but don't know about the other supermarkets.
Good Morning All, Down just a little bit. I ruined all chances of a proper loss last night. Because of power cuts we went out to eat and I pigged out on a pizza and garlic bread....naughty but it is 2 years since last time. We shall have the fish pie that I had prepared earlier but couldn't bake, today.
I had forgotten to click on subscribe and couldn't understand why I haven't heard from anybody. All fixed now.
Morning all - I've fallen off at the moment, ate far too much rubbish at a party then stupidly bought biscuits - need to get back on, lots happening at the moment so difficult to motivate myself. I WILL start again by the weekend!
Morning all I can't weigh today as I need new batteries for my scales.
Boxtops I know the feeling. I just don't buy biscuits but I have to have some in for my grandkids and I don't seem to touch so much of them.
Xstitcher you know how to rectify it so it's not too late. So onwards and Downwards for next week.
Unsure if I trust my scales. Before the shower it claimed I'd increased my weight over the week. Afterwards it claimed I had dropped ½ a pound. Let's be optimistic shall we ?
I can weigh myself 3 times and get 3 answers but the difference is so tiny it doesn't matter. I always choose the lowest of course.
I stayed the same which is a bonus as had son and his GF here at weekend so cooked a lovely roast and apple crumble and custard and I also made some mincemeat muffins. Have been eating the left overs all week :(
Am fed up as I know it's my own fault but put on 2lb this week. Big roast dinner round a friends on sunday and too much wine again did not help so none this week and once again back to the books. :-(
Hi Jules and Jan well at least you are owning up to what you have done and you know it can be rectifyed. It sometimes does you good to have a good treat but if you are like me you feel guilty afterwards. So on we go for next week .
Hi wendilla. I would feel guilty if I didn't own up each week now as it helps to keep me on the straight and narrow. I know I've got to think more about planning my menus and not just grabbing something out of the fridge or cupboard. Doesn't help though that I can't get out to do any shopping so only have fresh fruit and veg when I have my order delivered or friends do shopping for me. Onwards and downwards we hope anyway.
Good Morning All, I've stayed the same which means I haven't tried much to do anything this week. Naughty step for me.
Everybody seems to be very quiet at the moment. Are you busy getting in tune with the change of seasons?
You and I both on the naughty step Xstitcher. My excuse is I forgot to get new batteries but scales are saying stayed the same. Perhaps they are stuck from going Down of course.
Passing over my usual moan at the scales being inconsistent, and opting to use the pre-shower reading (as it was lowest). Lost 1⅛ lbs over the last week, which surprised me. Although I did unintentionally have a couple of days with lower intake than expected, as I discovered when I finally totalled up the following mornings. Outwards & inwards then.
Well done oldgeezer. That's quite a respectful loss. Rule number one....always take the lowest reading on your scales....lol
Well done OG. I am pleased to say I am back on track after two bad weeks. Lost 3lb this week so now lost 1st 13lb and hoping to get to the elusive 2st next week. Made a bit pot of vegetable soup on Monday and had that for 2 days so will probably do the same thing this week. Need to sort out some more soup recipes for the winter though.
Well done Jan keep up the good work. Time for winter homemade soups. I like carrot and corriander and veg of course.
Soups....I like chicken, onion, and vegetable soups. The onion must be the easiest to do....well easy for me because I wear contact lenses so slicing onions doesn't bother me, but othewise it really is quick and easy.....slice the amount of onions that suit you, sweat them in a squirt of olive oil and add a beef or veg. stock and cook for about ½ hour.....tastes best the next day.
Well done O_G and Jan, I'm down 1lb this week :o)
Well done to all that have gone down, you give the rest of us the urge to join you and therefore that helps keep me at least on the straight and narrow.
