Take it from someone who knows. I spent six months doing 500 sit ups in the morning and 500 at night. It did bugger all... because I made no change whatsoever to my diet and lifestyle.
As Ummmm says though, it will tone it up if you change those things and lose the weight. Good luck! :-)
DT, fine thanks for asking. I'm back from having my mini meltdown!
I always thought sit-ups helped get rid of a spare tyre. My OH has been doing sit-ups trying to get rid of a spear tyre. now he's not going to be happy when I tell him it was all in vein -0)
Glad to hear that flip - remember if you ever need to scream, we are around.
Enjoy the gym, redhead.....diet helps - my bible was the Canyon Ranch cookbooks, out of the US, but nice and flavoursome while respecting those cals (and allowed a couple of glasses of the grape juice per day).
Forget sit ups. Lie on your back, raise your legs about six or seven inches off the floor and hold them there for a few seconds then lower. Do this several times and if you do it daily the stomach muscles will eventually tighten
not always craft, as sometimes not eating properly will make your body store fat. You need to eat at regular times in accordance with your metabolic rate
