Onwards and Downwards Continues in February
Looks like everyone is making a special effort at the start of the year after the indulgence over the holidays.
Well done to everyone!!!
With Valentine's Day coming up why not try something more healthy instead of the traditional chocs or dinner out?
Does anyone have any tasty, low fat recipes for treats or romantic meals at home?

A Dieting Prayer
Bless my bathroom scales oh Lord,
Each week as I step on,
Help me lose a pound or two,
And not put any on.
Keep me from temptation.
From chocolate and from chips,
Keep my willpower going,
Just in case it slips.
Help me count the calories,
Steer me away from sweets,
Keep my sweating palms away,
From naughty...

Onwards and Downwards "Fried Chicken" with exotic salad...
Make a mix of lo or no fat YOUGURT with salt, pepper and your favourite spices (I use Sambol Olek with a dash of soya sauce. De skin your CHICKEN LEGS and roll them in this mixture and then in BREAD CRUMBS.
Place the legs on a baking sheet with baking paper (to avoid washing the sheet) and bake for about 3/4 hour at 200 degrees C. or until they are a nice brown colour.
Serve this with a salad consisting of ICEBURG LETTUCE, GRAPEFRUIT chunks, MANDARINE (CLEMENTINE) chunks, and dress with a dribble of lemon juice.
This gives you a nice crunchy outer texture to your chicken and holds the moistness in. If your chicken legs are more than medium sized don't be afraid to give them an hour. They will still be moist.

So..... I'm looking at what I have eaten so far today, and to my surprise the "Rocky" snack bar I've just had is showing as the highest point item I've had. Which means I have a question.
When fruit isn't quite what you are looking for, wanting something solid, unwrappable and such-like, what low calorie, low saturated fat snack bars can folk recommend ?
I've done a quick Google and surprised to find that bars that seemed most promising turned out to be somewhat higher than the bar I've just eaten - so maybe it wasn't that bad a choice after all.

Morning all,
Nice recipes Xstitcher x
Wighed myself this morning and I've put on even more weight now! I have decided that today is the day that I get strict with myself and start afresh with my diet. Going to start recording everything and keeping away from temptation. I thought I'd get my b'day over with as I knew my mum would come round with cake so thats out the way now.
