Welcome to August's Onwards and Downwards. Welcome to any and all new members keep up the good work.
Summer holidays are here again and those of you with children or grandchildren at home it can be tricky to keep the snacking down. How do you plan to keep the little ones occupied and out of the pantry?
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge!
I've lost 2lb this week. Makes up for not losing any the week before. One of my friends at work bought a bag of double choc chip cookies from Sainsbury's yesterday and was offering them around. I said thank you but no thank you. Normally I can't resist a giant warm cookie but I did and I feel quite proud of that :o)
Well said spotit! Didn't really stick to the plan yesterday, but now you have reminded me that small steps every day are what make the difference, thanks!
I've had to start again. The doc has warned me about cholesterol (it's high), I'm overweight and underfit. We've bought an exercise bike. Apart from a foray to the kebab shop in mid-week, I seem to have been living on carrots this week.... No loss this first week, but at least I've not put any ON.
NINA WELCOME your loss of half pound proves you are doing something about it and better off than on. Try and sort your menu out for the week and write everything down that you eat this will help sort the next weeks shopping out. I also have unsweetened grapefruit juice in the morning that I swear by but on some medication it is not allowed.
Sheenamf better luck for next week.
Sports3 stick at it it will come off next week .
Boxtops it is so easy as I well know to put it back on but by talking about it on here helps me to keep at it .
Hope to see us all with a loss next week. Onwards and Downwards all.
I'm going to have my Special K this morning just to keep my going and then save myself for the roast, and whatever else my nan has cooked, later. Did the same a few weeks back and I seemed to survive without eating anything in between :o)
Good Morning All, Another Wed. and another result. After a week of sulking I can smile again as I went down; not much, a pound but that is definitely down.
What made me so angry at myself last week was I don't know why I put on weight, but that is over and done with now.
All of you did very well last week so pats on the back are deserved all around and here's hoping the results this Wed. will be just as good.
Well done Xstitcher. I certainly don't deserve to stay the same .That Eton Mess at carver sunday dinner may not have caught up with me yet so have to be careful for next week.
Really not best pleased. Turns out it was at a low point last Wednesday anyway, and then, just to rub it in, my weight allegedly went up ⅝lbs over the last 23hrs as well ! Up 1¾lbs on the week. In fairness I did overconsume Friday to Sunday, not deliberately, it just happened by choosing to eat the 'wrong' stuff, plus a few Saturday night pints.
Clearly I wrote 24hrs and proof read 24hrs. I'm still amazed how computers can wait until you have checked everything is 100% perfect and then slip in changes when they are no longer correctable. :-(
Morning all, no change for me today but I don't deserve anything more! A couple of deviations this week, mostly bread related (toast and sandwiches are always my weekness) but onwards and downwards for next time.
Bathroom scales reckon I've lost 1lb since last week. Unfortunately the Slimming World scales don't always agree with my bathroom scales, so we shall see tonight.
