If you must take a break trigger, my advice is to try not to go in reverse looking for comfort. Catch you here when you get back then ;-)

All the best from me too Jan and hope your op will be a success.
1/2 lb gain for me so budge up on the naughty step please. Good luck Jan, hope all goes well.
Whoopsee kacee......hope you get a better result next week...
This naughty step is getting a little crowded. I am going to try really hard to get off it next week! :)
Woo hoo! Another 3lbs off this week! When I started this on my return from holiday, my plan was to lose 2st before Christmas, and 1st afterwards. With 4 weeks to go before the big day, I have lost just one pound short of my 2st target. I'm chuffed to bits!
That is terrific news LyndaB. It's too bad that we can't bottle that feeling you get when you have reached a goal. Keep up the good work.
Well done, LyndaB! I am sure you are feeling on top of the world.
Well done LyndaB keep up the good work. Lets make sure there is an empty naughty step for next week for the rest of us and that it stays empty
I just called by to sent my best wishes to Jan1957 for Wednesday.

Will be thinking of you Jan and wish you a speedy return home form hospital.

Hi All,

Well it looks like the rest of the world has finally caught up with wendilla:

Thanks again all for your good wishes. I have weighed in a day early as I will be off to the hospital bright and early in the morning. I realised that it was 3lb that I put on last week (I really should learn to count properly) and thankfully have lost 2lb of that this week! Hospital food should help me lost a bit this week! Don't know when I shall be able to weigh myself again, probably not till the plaster comes off as I'm not too good at balancing on one leg. Keep up the good work everyone and I'll pop in to see how you are all going.
To Ab Editor I note your concern about grapefruit juice but I have always stated that it cannot be taken along with some drugs prescribed by doctors. Luckily I am not on any tablets so far. I found this a long time ago and posted it on here but most times when I post about grapefruit juice I mention this.
All the best Jan .Will be thinking about you and hope all goes well for you.
Do let us know how you are getting on Jan and I don't mean weight wise. Good luck .
Good Morning All, I'm down again but just the smallest bit 300 gms. As it gets colder I want meat more than my usual chicken and fish which isn't good so must remedy that.
My electric steamer has gone on the blink so I bought a 2 tiered bamboo one and am getting to terms with times for it. It takes up much less room and is easier to clean.
Good luck to the rest of you.
Morning xstitcher - I'm intrigued by your bamboo steamer. I would never have expected it to be easier to clean and sort of avoided because of it. I might try one if you get on well with it. At the moment I use one of those small metal steaming baskets which i pop on top of the potatoes (OH struggles if he doesn't have potatoes!) Its OK but I'm always up for a change.

I'm down just a teeny bit too today. About half a pound but I'm happy with that as I had a bit of a heavy carb weekend. A small portion of pastry, a sandwich, a cheesy puff - oh it all adds up - so I had to work hard on Monday and Tuesday to get back on track. Back in the right direction now - onwards and downwards, good luck everyone.
Well done Xstitcher and Maid up for no gain. I am completely stuck and stayed the same . Did you note a few posts back about Grapefruit juice. I have always stated that people on certain medication should not drink it . It is good of the Ab Editor to point this out again .
Congrats to the bit down girls.

For me, I'm amazed to see the scales say Iv'e stayed the same. Down to a sudden drop over the last 24 hours apparently, which is the exact opposite of the weight jump I seem to get between Tuesday and Wednesday. Unsure I believe it but ....

Been a week of disappointing readings, and yesterday I inadvertently ate over limit, and then I go down. Maybe I should stick to curries & pizza all week.
I saw a bamboo steamer being used on the TV (for fish) he just put a bit of oil on a square of tin foil and placed the fish on that. You can also just put it on a plate or a piece of baking paper allowing for place for the steam to come up....this is what makes the cleaning easy. I have Googled how to use it and come away with a good many tips. I place mine over an ordinary kitchen pot filled with water.....I have tried with a wok but prefer the pot.
Congrats everyone on mtheir loss and at least you haven't piu on any Wendilla. I have lost 1lb so have eventually got below that elusive stone. Thought I was never going to crack it. Am happy at my present weight but wouldn't mind losing another few lbs so that I could enjoy more treats at Christmas! I never thought losing weight was so expensive. Had to bring more clothes to dressmakers this week to get taken in.
Hi to Jan and hope you are doing fine.
