Hello all,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
How spooky is that the 1st of Octoebr and the weather starts to really turn cold? Hope you have been enjoying that little Indian summer in September now it is time for jackets and warming food.
We could talk about soups and stews (and let's face it we probably will) but I thought a nice change would be stir fry recipes.
This is a wonderfully diverse meal where you can add pretty much anything you like and serve it with anything you like noddles or rice for a lighter dish or crusty bread or even potatoes for something a bit more filling.
Here is one that looks really tasty:

Good Morning All,
Another week, another weigh in and another "stayed the same" result. I have been on a course of antibiotics where I must eat something before I take the pills and perhaps I have misunderstood that a mini meal was not what the doctor meant! lol.
I must say thank you to all our faithful followers who are here week after week. I can't imagine NOT having this place to meet and talk about our problems and successes.
Speaking of problems......did you make a decision on getting a new scales OG?

Morning well surprise surprise just under 1lb loss . I have been good with meals .But did have bacon on toast yesterday but that of course is my grandsons fault being here on term break and had those lovely hot crumpets from asda last week which I forgot to put in the freezer. Xstitcher you know you will get back on track when course of tablets are finished.
Morning all and well done Wendilla, on the move again. Enjoy your week with your grandson.
Get well soon xstitcher, (I recommend a portion of yoghurt with each antibiotic tablet, it helps settle the stomach.)
No change for me is week. I had a guilty work breakfast of croissants and jam yesterday. Once i started there was no stopping me. Grrr!

Same old story x, I looked, didn't see any I felt comfortable about. I guess I've just lost confidence in them all. Past experience suggests they are all either imprecise and/or inconsistent and/or inaccurate and why go through the disappointment of ordering more I'd be unhappy about ?
For what it's worth I discovered strain gauge design types work better on carpet than other designs. Might look out for that type since it'd give me more options on where to site them.

Maydup don't think I could have resisted the crossiants either . Isn't it terrible when the devil takes over. Xstitcher suggested I weigh on Tuesday next week as that afternoon I am going for a girls afternoon out at a very old historical place for afternoon tea. OG put new scales on top of Xmas pressie list and Santa might surprise you.
If you can remember back to winter/spring OG we were having problems with our scales. Hubby went on a scales exploration and came home with a cheap one that runs on AA+ batteries. I snickered and was of little faith.......they are the best ones we have had to date....easy to read and seem to be spot on, so you see it is not always what you think will be good that tick all the boxes.
