Happy New Year,
Welcome to this month's Onwards & Downwards. We welcome anyone serious about losing weight and we offer support and kind thoughts - not magic fixes, just sensible help.
I hope you all had the Christmas and New Year you wished for, don't know about you but I over-indulged (and it was yummy).
Let's get back to basics what are you favourite and most helpful diet tips? Things that have worked for you.
Don't forget your weekly weigh on Wednesday and remember we don't judge! Here is last months thread

Morning all,
I can see you are doing a great job, well done so far in what is probably one of the hardest months :-).
As you are all probably aware it is getting on for February, the month of love, so does anyone have any ideas they would like to share for next month's thread?
Please answer on here and I will pick it up on Friday morning when I do the new thread.
Cheers

Well, as you know, my weighing morning is this morning, not tomorrow - I can't report a loss this week, but no gain either, I am exactly the same as last week. I can put this down to indulgence on Burns' night, and a couple of sneaky Malteser Easter bunnies over the week.... :-)
I'm not downcast, it's still a 6lbs loss since Jan 1!

Morning all, no change for me either this week. My heart tells me I've tried hard to keep on track but my head reminds me of the dessert i ate on Monday evening ( extravagent) and the biscuits I've been nibbling in the evenings.
Ed - talking of hearts and desserts, one idea is to share our suggestions on how to combat the sweet tooth during February.
Chocolate, cakes and biscuits are so often our downfall, it would be good to think about what we can turn to instead, in our moments of weakness.

Maydup it is very hard but my motto is If you don't buy it you can't eat it . But that is not easy if you have a family. If I have any sweets or choc left in the cupboard if my grandson has been here it will worry me that it is there and 9 times out of 10 I will eat it .
I have stayed the same this week and all I can say is that I am lucky.
