A handful of raspberries?

Hypognosis, thank you, but I don't regard potatoes as a good sweet dessert. By the way, I manage to do without them. Vegetables have enough dietary fibre. And no hunt - I don't think it's an occupation a mature person should be engaged in.
Question Author
Old_Geezer, why not? Fruits and berries are sweet and healthy. Maybe, there are some other sweet desserts possessing the same combination of qualities?
You don't want sugar, you think it unhealthy; therefore you ought not approve of fruit nor think it healthy. You made it clear that if it is sweet, then it is unhealthy; and so that seems to bar any healthy sweet item.

It you can design/create some healthy sweets I'm sure you've found a gap in the market.
Question Author
EcclesCake, thank you! That's interesting! Can you give me a recipe?
Question Author
Old_Geezer, the sugar in fruit is different from the white sugar refined by means of some chemical processes. No, I didn't say that 'sweet' means 'unhealthy'. Fruit and berries are a good example of being sweet and healthy. But maybe there is anything else? I want to find that out, that's why I'm asking.
You seem to have a hatred of any 'Chemicals' or 'Chemical process'.
Every thing in the Universe including every part of you and every person on Earth is nothing more then 'Chemicals' made from the 92 Elements.
The most common 'chemical reaction' in the world is some thing you and all of us do every day ' washing' . Washing anything from your hands or face to clothes , cars, windows, pots and pans is performing a chemical reaction.
Do you realise that every atom of your body and of all of us was formed billions of years ago deep inside a star? We are all made of the 'star dust'
that comprises every thing in the Universe and we are all just a bundle of chemicals.
What about chewing cloves? While they're not sweets they have a good taste and probably very few calories.
...but cloves numb your gums and can be corrosive. How about liquorice root? Used to be ½d per stick at the chemist's. Last time I looked they were charging 25p, an increase of 12 000%.
But doesn't it have laxative qualities?
Too true it does. I now slightly regret buying so many Liquorice Allsorts at Christmas.
Question Author
EcclesCake, Thank you very much! I've read the article. Sounds like a really great advice!!! I should try it in summer! Or maybe think of some other fruit or berries to be used instead of strawberries.
Question Author
EDDIE51, I have nothing against the 92 elements or any other natural chemical reactions. But I wash with water, not with petrol, and that's what they use to refine your white sugar. What I meant was not to offer any unnatural chemistry, only organic chemical reactions and organic food, please!
Question Author
sandyRoe, Thank you! Cloves are really good in tea. But I don't want to chew them, sorry.(
Water is good for you, no calories. It is healthy, and when chilled, tasty. Add a dash of lemon or lime for added sweetness. If you wanna go all out, add some fruit juice ice cubes
Question Author
BlackadderV, no laxative effect, please! Liquorice tastes good, but if you type 'liquorice harm' into Google, you get too many alarming facts.
Question Author
AlwaysConfused, Water is good, but it isn't sweet, and it's a drink, not food. Unfortunately, a dash of lemon can add only sourness to it, not sweetness. But thank you for trying to be helpful.
If you're this 'fussy' about sweets is the rest of your diet really strict?
Indeed you do, all emanating from the US. Say no more.
Question Author
BlackadderV, that's because the spelling is American.) Type 'licorice harm uk' if you want to get the same from the UK.
