Morning everyone!

I've given up on losing weight, and have just got back in to running or riding the bike every day - for as long as that lasts! No, really, I've given up on worrying about my weight, and focusing instead on staying fit throughout autumn and winter!

Am I being foolish?

Here's last month's thread: http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Body-and-Soul/Weight-Loss-and-Dieting/Question1508281.html

I read a couple of books which helped me get excited for running again, which I will post as answers below.

Whoops, yes it was but the result was the same OG
My Chinese and Indian are still preparing where to dump the weight . Don't normally have Indian .Blame my son .
No doubt it was a tandoori, tikka or bhuna Wend. None of those high cal sauce ones ;-)
never gave it a thought OG.
Good morning all, Can you hear me? I'm sitting over here on the naughty step
:-((.
Tut tut.
When I wake up I'll need to see what this week has wrought. Yesterday I discovered that the weekend had put back all I'd lost during the week :-(
I am about to join you XSTITCHER .No more home made steak and ale pies with rough puff pastry . Its lodged there till I do something about it .And that will be from today .But it was nice .
Well...

Yesterday I found that, despite losses later in the week, the weekend had put me back to last Tuesday's weight.

Today I find I've lost 0.8 lbs since yesterday, which, despite losses later in the week, the weekend has put me back to last Wednesday's weight.

I've never been so "stayed the same".
Eh? What did you say OG? We can't hear you from this naughty step.
Still September; this month seems to be dragging on.

Well: up 0.4 lbs. (But only because this week was shadowing last week, except that it's just stopped. and I didn't drop as much over the last 24 hours as I did between last Tuesday/Wednesday.)
I've lost weight since ending my diet. I lost a stone quite easily, at first, then stayed the same weight for months. I got a bit fed up with it, came off the diet and lost another half stone. I'm staying off it. :))
Good morning all. :-)). Down 2 pounds. M being more watchful about what goes into my mouth and am walking again so very pleased.

Welcome here cloverjo. You are doing well and I hope that will continue. We can all tell you that the weight tends to just fall off in the beginning and then the nitty gritty sets in.

We don't diet but try to eat healthy foods and keep the portions to a normal size. If you can keep your meat, fish or chicken down and fill up with veggies that will help. A brisk walk is a good way to start the calories burning off. Those are just the bare bones.

There are lots of ideas and support here.
Well done you two.
Thanks OG. Can you tell me how we can get a November post...if that's what it's called? I don't know how to get in touch with Ed. I wonder if we've got a new Ed?
One could post a request in the http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/AB-Editors-Blog/. Or start a thread for ourselves.
Maybe we could ask for this thread to be renamed "Onwards & Downwards September/October 2016"

;-)
Not a happy bunny today as I have gained a pound . Something must have caught up with ne as I have been reasonable good . I think that word reasonable is the answer . Have done my menus for the week which is most important . Plenty meat and chicken and veg . Watch this space .
You'll have to join me on the step this week then Wend.
Ok OG I will go and make us a cuppa
