I’ve just taught myself blackwork but it’s definitely structured so doesn’t sound like it’s something for you. I’m working on a sea scape at the moment. As you say, having a hobby really helps. I’m in day 16 of self isolation and feeling fine. God bless emails and texting.
If you like structure try working on transparent fabric, the skill is in keeping the back perfect. Makes lovely window panels.
What fabric would that be?
Up from last time. Not dwelling on how much.

Food seems to have taken on a new meaning now that our everyday life has shrunk

Oh I am well stocked up, and the local shop does the basics and cake,and sweets, and cheese and we'll you get the picture....
Good morning all, I’m the same as last week which is good. I found myself sliding into an “I-need-to-reward-myself” mode. Not good at all. Anyhow I decided to get back on the ball and here is one place that I can control.
I hope that you are all well and not suffering social withdrawal symptoms. There is nothing like a good chat forum in times like this.
Up a couple, but that's over three weeks getting better organised now. Initially there was an element of no weigh in have a few more treats cos I am bored... Today a big sticker is going on the fridge saying only open this door if you are hungry. Otherwise go and do something you are only bored.
lost 2 kilos since I started working at home 10 days ago!
I am actually getting far more exercise than I did when working in an office - i go on the indoor bike and then walk the hounds where as before I got the dog walker most days due to working long hours.
So I will finish isolation fitter and thinner
Good positive thinking Martin! Keep up the walking. Have you also noticed that the exercise gives you more energy. Nits a win win situation.
Not really tbh I am tired by the end of the day either way - but I miss it if I don't do it!
My dogs are both getting on a bit and have a few health issues so some days they are rested and those days I miss the walk so garden instead - currently hacking back a part of the garden that hasn't seen any cutting for 10 years!!
Sounds like a great way to deal with the risk of coronafat, and covidbum. The slimming clubs and gyms will be heaving when this is over.
