I think it depends on how badly you want to save. I save very easily because I don't mind cutting back. My mum on the other hand says she wants to try and save but she can't.. it doesn't help that she's always spending!

no probably not bellazella, but I haven't got any spare now to put away for that time. Of course, if you have alternative ideas how exactly I can get extra to cushion my OAP stage i'm all ears :-)

£40 is ridiculously low and is a just a token surely. Even if I was really wealthy I would expect any offspring to pay a realistic amount of keep - £50 per week would be a bare minimum. Tough love I suppose.
