Can a person who has sight in one eye ,register as partial sighted on the Blind Register if they are in receipt of DLA?

DLA, or PIP as it now is, is not dependant on not being able to work. It's money paid to help you cope with the extra cost of your disability. My cousin, for example, was left paralyzed from the shoulders down after a rugby accident. His company were able to provide him the adaptations he needs to work, but he claims PIP to go towards the cost of his 24 hour carers, his adapted car, modifications on his house etc.
