Paying Paypal

Recently, everytime I buy something with PayPal it waits about 3 weeks before I debit it from my bankk account. Before it used to debit it straight away from my bank. I hate the new system because I don't know when the money is coming out of my bank, and much preferred to pay immediately.
Is there any way I can get them to take the money immediately when I buy something?

I'd guess you're accepting the 'pay after delivery' option which is the default I believe,pretty sure you can refuse it and it will debit as usual, they introduced this to prevent people having to claim back if an item wasn't delivered but I suppose it could be confusing if you don't keep a day-to-day track on your account.

I looked into this a few days ago, 'cos I don't like it either and I'm fairly sure you can't change it by default.
You can change it every time you pay someone - you just need to remember to change it every time you pay. I couldn't find any way to change the settings in my account, but I'll watch this thread in case I get proven wrong :)
