Don't know about this particular company but there are some who will keep your money after failing to get you a credit card.
Never pay any company money on the promise they can get you credit.

If you have to pay, stay away - it's not worth it.

On a similar vein, I got an application through the post where the credit apr was a whopping 30% - I told them where to stick it.

hi paying a fee doesn't repair your credit history. I used to have a bad credit history but I rebuilt it from scratch by agreeing with those i owed regular smaller payments - and I got a capital one credit card with only a limit of 200 to start with. I made regualr higher payments with that and paid it off to get a 500 limit, repeated the cycle and my only advice is that it takes time but so long as no payments are missed. Check your credit file with experian for a small fee will help

I work for CGS and can try and answer some of the points here. CGS are a national company that have been trading for the past 8 years. During this time we have dealt with over 100,000 applications from customers who have been refused credit elsewhere.

The service that we offer is quite simple. Once we have initially assessed and approved in principal an application we will guarantee to find a credit card that the customer will be accepted for. We then charge a fee to do just that. If we put a customer through to a certain card company it is because our system is showing that, based on our experience of using that card company, the customer should expect to be accepted. As we are not issuing the cards ourselves there is always a possibility that customers are turned down for the first choice of card that we have for them. In those cases we will always be able to replace them with the second available choice.

Due to the Data Protection Act I cannot deal with individual cases on this forum, however I can state that any customer who has paid a fee to us and received anything less than great service will be ensured a refund. Please email me on [email protected]

JWA- please contact me on my email address above.

As I said previously if you are unhappy with the service provided to you by CGS we will happily refund your fee.
