Mackenzie Hall
9 Answers
I am collecting complaints about the company of Mackenzie Hall, of 30 Forestgate, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. Although this is the address on their letterhead they actually work out of an address in Glasgow. They are Debt Collectors employed by such companies as the Lowell Group (Finance) and employ tactics of Harrassment and Threats. I advise people who are approached by Mackenzie Hall and who believe the claim they are seeking is "Ficticious or untrue" not to communicate but to seek the resolve of their claim through the Courts. Otherwise email me on george,[email protected]. I DO NOT MAKE ANY CHARGES WHATSOEVER.

Mackenzie Hall claim their registered office is 30 Forestgate, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland.
The Kilmarnock Police say that they do not 'Occupy' an office in this building, They have a telephone link.
They operate out of Glasgow. The telephone number is 01563556700.
Be careful if you telephone them as the suspicion is they record your conversation. Deal only by letter. Opt for going to court for settlement.

I have just, today opened a letter from MH which was sent to a person who does not live at this address. As it happens I know several people with the same name, I have called them all and the knw nothing about this debt. I certainly do not owe any money to anyone andI have lived at this address for over 30 years. I cannot imagine why or how my address should be linked to anyone else. Has anyone any advice on how I might deal with this letter. There is a payment deadline of 7/2/08 and this worries me
These people are monsters they have searched my credit file under unclassified and are hounding me for a debt simply because they are looking someone with the same name and I think date of birth. I rang them and the MONSTER I spoke to accused me of spending money I did not have and called me all sorts of names. I was physicallly shaken and now I am going to complain. I have found this forum so helpful and knowing other people have experienced similar. Another horrible company was Lowell. does this MKH people buy debts and how can they be allowed to do this. P
Until 3 weeks ago I had never heard of Mackenzie Hall. I inadvertantly opened a letter addressed to someone I've never heard of and certainly doesn't live at my address. The letter was from a debt collecting agency concerning a debt for over 400 and to make payment within 7 days etc. I phoned the sender and explained I was not the person to whom the debt reffered. I was told to ignore the letter and I would hear no more. Today, I received a 5 line letter directly from Mackenzie Hall, addressed to the original person, stating that I was to immediately contact them on 01563556545 to avoid action being taken. I phoned them and advised them of the situation and also telling them I had previously been contacted by another debt collection agency. I was told that they (MH) were a different agency and to ignore the letter. What do I do if I receive more demands for them....send the letter back marked "not known at this address"? I have never been in this situation before as I have a completely clean credit history.
Hi I know this is an old post but I just had a message left on my phone, it looks like this company now use a different name, the call said an important message for me and asked me to call this number 01563556545 saying it was very important I call back. They gave the company name as Connect! I was abit suspicous to the call as it was so important but they gave no clue to what about, most company's say something so I tried to find the company online but got nowhere, then I tried looking with the number and found this.
Thanks to everyone here, we were very worried when a letter arrived from MH of Friday addressed to my husband. It said he owed £201.42 to their Pursuers 'Arrow Global Limited' and that the original creditor was 'Fairmile Partnership 1 LLP' well we had never heard of either of these companies. We did have a bit of debt when he was made redundant some years ago but put it allwith a debt management company and paid every penny back. So I called them and said we were old customers what would they advise, they said go to two credit reference agencies and check that he owed nothing. We did this and he doesn't owe anything on either, the credit history goes back for 10 years. I felt right from the beginning that this was a scam. Just felt it was worth saying that not everyone who is hit by this company actually owes any money. The thing that annoys me is that to anwser them even costs money by peak rate telephone, but I did my research first so am not doing that after all I've read. We have decided to write and send recorded delivery. We are ex directory and not had any texts from them yet so assume they dont have any other information on him. We will say he doesnt owe anyone any money and to send us original documents if they believe he does or we will contact the police as we believe somewhere along the line this is a scam. We actually wonder whether they somehow get the names of people from somewhere who have ever owed money and trust that those people will assume that their demands are accurate and pay up.
