Have a look in the phone book to see if Sotherbys or Christies have a local office (they have branches all over the country) and then give them a ring to find if they have a militia and munitions expert. They may even be able to do it by photographs (a few years ago, I had an arrangement with a large auction house that they would value items from an estate that I had videoed).

Sir, one was waiting in anticipation of a valuation around the �100,000 mark !.
I know Purdey's have increased dramatcally over the last few years, with an increase in American buyers.
Being the matched pair, and cased, should bring the value up to an acceptable level.
