Tax Query

I've recently split from my husband and wondered how I stand with regard to my tax allowance. We aren't divorcing (yet) and have nothing legal to show for the split apart from purchasing new properties. Is it worth my while advising the tax office or not? Thanks.

As far as I am aware you get no tax advantages from being married, so there's nothing to be gained either way.
The days of a married couples allowance are long gone so it's completely irrelevant. No need to inform the tax authorities.
