I have a platinum account with them and take advantage of all the discounts it offers. The accounts costs 12 per month but my phone insurance is free, if I had insured both phones with the phone company it would have cost be 12 in addition I have free breakdown cover, holiday insurance etc. So I feel I am saving a considerable amount of money per year.
I have also stayed with the same branch and had the same account manager for 12 years! I have his direct number and ring up and chat about my account and make changes without stepping into the bank.
Everyone will have a fave bank because it will be the one they have got the most out of and some will rubbish a bank because they have been charged or refused something, 9/10 its not the banks fault but the way the individual as conducted their business i.e. unauthorised overdraft.
If you are happy with Lloyds then dont be put off by someone elses opinions, if there was one outstanding bank then all the others would have closed down by now!
I was worried that there was something that I was not aware of. I think it is amazing value for money, especially the travel insurance and AA cover. Most of all, no longer have to try and find Ins co that covers pensioners. All cards covered by Sentinel as well as mobile phones. However, I don't think my Bank Manager knows that I exist.
