Ebay / Paypal
7 Answers
About 3 years my eBay account was suspended - for life apparently. I was selling one item which I shouldn't have been (which I didn't know may I add - wasn't like it was obvious) and because I had sold the item to a few people they all counted as one hit rather than one hit for the wrong item.
Since then my partner and I have been selling on eBay, we have racked up over 2300 feedback and haven't had a problem, were a top rated seller etc...
The problem is we have broken up now, so I wondered if it would be possible to slowly convert the account over into my name, details etc... Is there any other way of getting around it all? :(

1. Your real name (but, as lots of different people share the same name, re-registering under your real name shouldn't cause a problem) ;
2. Your screen name. (Just choose a totally different name. e.g. if you used to be 'ShadyDealer' don't re-register as 'ShadyDealer2')
3. Your email address. (Simply get a new email account).
4. Your credit/debit card details. (Just use a different card).
5. Your IP address. (Most people have 'dynamic' IP addresses; simply disconnecting your router, and then reconnecting it, will change your IP address).
If you don't provide any of the same information that you previously did, there's absolutely no way that eBay could recognise you as a banned user.
The foregoing mainly applies to creating a completely new account but if you want to change the details on your existing joint account, simply be aware of points 1 to 5 above, so that you can ensure that the details you provide don't set any alarm bells ringing with eBay & PayPal.

It's so long since I've used either eBay or PayPal I forgot that you have to supply a postal address. I actually doubt that it would cause a problem (because people are always moving house) but I can't guarantee it. With the volume of sales you seem to be making, it might be worth getting a PO Box address anyway.
Just start a new paypal / ebay account. You need a diffent bank account , but just open one and use the details. You need a diffrent user name and email address but all easy to do. You will have to start again with Zero feedback but just get on with it. Do not mention you have had an account before just start a new one with new details. I warn you Paypal / ebay will spot it if you try to use the same bank account as the one used with the banned account so open a new account somewhere.
