How Do I Become Ce Certified?

I've decided to start a small business up from home recently to make a little extra cash while im on maternity leave. Ive been making baby keepsakes for my own child since hes been outgrowing everything so quickly! Ive learnt theres a market for this type of thing. I know my items are safe from birth otherwise theres no way I would give them to my child. So although I know they're safe, id like to give my customers the reassurance too. Thanks.

what sort of things are you making? If it's soft toys, which I make occasionally, I used CE-approved stuffing - but I only sell at craft fairs and the like, and I don't have any labels on my items.

Ive googled yes and looked at plenty of links but I dont understand any of it.. its all double dutch to me, need it simplifying lol

Don't think it's as simple as that Jacksonsmm, going by the link it depends on what you want certified as to what rules there are.

Just stuffed toys basically! Heard that you can if it's considered minimal risk. Which they are..

How do you come to the conclusion tat a stuffed toy is minimal risk?

Every year we hear of dodgy imported soft toys with buttons that come off and could chioke, dyes could be toxic (not designed to be put in babies mouths)

I'd imagine there would be some guidance to determining the risk level

If you can self-certify the risk and self certify if the risk is minimal it would be a pretty meaningless certification
