My son is 14 (15 in december), he is home tutored by me so he can do things during the day and he is also willing to do just about anything.

So basically, how can my son make some money of his own?

I think there are limits on how long a child of that age can work for, something like 1 or 2 hours a day on a school day. The only thing I can think of is the usual, paper round, helping on a morning milk round.

Thanks spudqueen but the only thing he won't do is a paper round and i dont blame him because the only day off you get in a whole year is christmas day. And you they have to be up at 5:30 every morning and only get 12 pound a week. thanks anyway though.

my son used to deliver the free newspaper that was delivered in our area, he used to deliver after school/college one day a week to about 200 houses and used to earn about 12 , more if there were leaflets to deliver as well + the newspaper delivery included the Ikea catalogues when the new ones came out and he got paid about another 10 for those alone.

Hi Jules001, thats good but in our area you only get 6 pound for delivering the advertiser (free newspaper) thanks anyway though.

Good old car washing. I know several people, all elderly, who are no longer able to wash their cars. If a polite, willing youngster were to offer his services, I think everyone would be happy!

Maybe a flyer round the neighbourhood (including an explanation that he is not playing truant!) would get it off the ground.
