What does a yellow circle alongside the share price indicate?

There's no single place to view share prices. Each one might well have its own system of symbols so, without knowing where you're looking, it's impossible to answer your question.

I am looking at a share price and there has been no movement since trading opened and the yellow circle appeared to the right of the last trading price.

But where are you looking at the share price, Yahoo, Bloomberg etc?

Fuggy, I don't think you understand - the yellow circle is probably unique to the site you are looking on (i.e. in this case the Company) - look around the site for an explanation. On other sites, a yellow circle could well mean something different, there is no recognised standard as far as I know.

It was bahamas petrolium shares, they have started to move now, wrong way' but movement.

As it now has the head of a downward red arrow, I suggest the yellow circle meant no change. I presume a green upward arrowhead will indicate a rise. I hope it turns green for you soon, good luck.

IT has gone now that there is some movement

On this one the yellow circle next to Shareprice was just a key to show you which colour line to look at on the chart, and the blue circle next to trading volume indicates thay you should refer to the blue line

Thank one and all for your imput I really appriciate you comments and advice. My ignorance in these matters became obvious when I bought these by mistake, I'm not telling you what I thought I was buying I feel a big enough pillock as it is.

it's still unclear as to what it might mean.

However it occurs to me that some sites, which use a green upward arrow for rising prices and a red downward arrow for falling ones (as here http://www.lse.co.uk/SharePrice.asp?shareprice=BPC ) might use a yellow circle for static ones.
