What have you learnt about it so far?

I think(welcome to the rabbit hole) that is affects the world as a whole because corporations are usually global, this means that it has a direct knock on affect to other countries. Lets not forget that any debt is bad, because that means someone else is at a loss.. again a knock of effect.

Regarding the 'any debt is bad debt' claim, I think you'll find that nearly every country in the world is in debt.
