Thanks, it is regarding completion of a house I am buying. I'm wondering to do this or risk a cheque which could take days to clear.

It costs around 25.00 and it is a same day transfer. It is guaranteed to go into the bank before 4pm on the same day.

I doubt you will be able to give a cheque for the purchase of the house - but someone may correct me on that.

Sorry the details you need to give are:

Bank Account Name:

Name of Bank:

Sort Code:

ACcount NUmber:

Its quite safe and would normally be done by your solicitors on your behalf presuming you are using one for your purchase ??

For the purchase of a house then you'd most commonly use a type of payment known as a Telegraphic Transfer or CHAPS payment.
If you send it early enough in the day it'll be received that same day by close of business (though not always as early as 4pm) and you'll need the name and address of the bank, the sort code, account number and name of account holder.

This normally costs 20-25
I was charged 20 by the Nationwide for my transfer when I bought a house recently. I asked them to take the deposit from my savings acount book.
