Stock pumping? I wouldn't know the first thing about it. I work for a small facilities management company who provides FM work to TSG. I've found out some details anyway.

OK just checking some people like to publicize ficticious takeovers with the hope of boosting stock prices for short term gains.

But if it's not public knowlege yet there could be insider trading issues.

I ask because I saw articles about a number of pubs change hands on articles a few years back but not an actual acquisition.

Now where's my broker's number :c)

Spirit Group were a limited company, not a plc to my knowledge. Their equity was held by Blackstone Capital and Texas Pacific, both buyout firms. I know they have recently embarked on a huge cost-cutting exercise regarding FM, which is normal before a sale so as to squeeze as much value out as possible.
