Rayburn Or Oil Boiler

I have to make an expensive repair to a Rayburn. And I am considering to change it for an oil boiler (we don’t longer use the R for cooking).
What do the energy experts think.

You'd be better off posting this in Home and Garden.
My friend has an oil boiler and feels held to ransom when he has to fill the tank, and not just since the recent madness descended.

Not a scientific assessment but true.
Are you on mains gas?
Oil heating I feel is not efficient and is not governed the same way as gas and electric.
If you have an alternative I would go with gas.
a heat ground pump if you have the space and one - or two - of those instant hot water generator units....
